I was born in Cowansville, Quebec on June 19, 1988. I am the first of three children. My brother, 19, lives in Saskatchewan and works on the oil rigs. My sister, 18, lives with my mom in Iron Hill and works for a company in Dunham, VIP.  I try to come back to the Eastern Townships as much as possible to see family and friends. I have an apartment that I share in Longueuil in order to be closer to school. This is now my third year in McGill after graduating from Massey-Vanier High School and Champlain College St-Lambert.

For the past year I have been working as a substitute in the Eastern Townships School Board. I have been able to work in 4 different schools and see how each one is able to run effectively. I also worked at a small town cantine in West Brome during the summer, where I waitressed. 


Once I am finished my undergraduate degree at McGill I would like to either go teach North or over seas for my first couple years. I think it would be an excellent experience and I can only learn from doing so. Once I have settled back here I am debating doing a graduate degree. I am not sure about the long term plans. I know for sure that I want to be the teacher that every child hopes to have the next year. I don't want the students to fear coming into my class and wish the day would end. 


During my free time I love to spend time with friends and family. I enjoy being outside as much as possible. Some times to play sports or other activities, to read or just to enjoy up the sun, either in the winter or summer. Like most girls I love to shop. It is always a good day when you can smile and joke around with friends and come home with the best memories in the bags. I also enjoy spending time with my boyfriend, reading, movies, music, staying active and the internet.  

I love to travel, and all though I have not been able to travel far I know that one day I will have the opportunity. I would like to visit as many places as I possibly can throughout my life time. The number one place I want to visit is Australia. I have always wanted to go to the outback and see a kangaroo.  

Today there are not many people without a facebook page, which is where I can keep in touch with many friends and family members from around the world. I also spend a lot of time checking out the newest movies playing for the week and figuring out what I want to see. Of course when you are in need of some information quick and easy the best place to look is google! Other than that I don't really use the internet. 

This semester, winter 2010, I am taking 5 courses; understanding planet earth, exceptional students, global change:past, present and future, Terrestial planets and Media Technology. I only have a year left before completing my undergraduate degree and I am extremely excited.
